PA/NP
Position overviewGuardian Urgent Care is looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to start a career at our clinic in Hope, AR. Our midlevels are given the opportunity to focus on patient care and enjoy:
- No on-call
- A highly-trained medical support staff
- On-site digital X-ray
- On-site CLIA-approved lab
Experience working with children and experience working in an emergency department or urgent care setting preferred. Experience in a family practice setting also considered.

CRITICAL CARE TECH/LAB TECH
Position OverviewAt Guardian Urgent Care PCTs/Lab Techs are given the opportunity to utilize their skills in a variety of settings. Individuals must be able to:
- Escort patients to the treatment area
- Obtain patient vital signs
- Assist nurses and physicians with various patient treatments
- Sterilize and set up instruments
- Restock treatment areas
- Notify nurse and/or physician when patient is ready for exam
- Maintain cleanliness of the treatment areas

FRONT DESK

BILLER
Position OverviewGuardian Urgent Care, Billing is seeking a well organized self-starter with the ability to multitask to join our team as Medical Biller. The ideal candidate will have experience reading EOB’s, posting payments from insurance companies, following up on denials, and will be able to make notes for the front line staff.
The position will also collect delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients, monitor payments, and follow-up with patients when/if payment lapses occur.
The biller must be able to multitask and be willing to help patients with questions during and after their visits.
This position will work weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some on-call days on weekends.
In addition to the things listed above, this position requires:

- Bi-lingual is a plus!

CODER
Position OverviewGuardian Urgent Care, Billing is looking to hire a medical coder with at least one year experience. Applicants must have experience doing 100% abstraction. ER experience preferred, but not required.
The person will work weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The coder will need to be able to read the entire record of the health encounter and analyze the information to determine what condition(s) the patient has, what caused it, and how it was treated, in order to derive the appropriate codes. The information comes from a variety of sources within the medical record, such as clinical notes, laboratory and radiology results, and operation notes. Some codes are given by the providers or a software system. Evaluation and Management Coding (E&M) Coding is key. Must have abstraction using the 1995 guidelines.
The Coder will review, determine accuracy of, and apply the correct coding conventions to patient charge encounters, procedural services, as defined through physician documentation and may provide oversight and payer-specific education related to physician coding/compliance, non-physician practitioner coding/compliance and appropriate coding conventions for individual staff members and collective groups within the department.
After training and probationary period, the coder must be able to do at least 100 charge entries daily. This position reports to the Billing Supervisor.
